Shaw History Room
The Shaw History Room houses the Doris Coulter Hetzler Memorial Collection along with a special collection of books, microfilm, files, and other materials needed for genealogical and historical research. Though the collection focuses on Georgia (primarily Northwest Georgia), other states are represented. Adjoining states and migration route states are of interest to our researchers. The Walker County Historical Society collection is in our Georgia Room, plus local organizations and individuals donate materials. Carol Smith manages the Georgia History and Genealogy Room.
Genealogical questions can be sent to lwgeorgiahistory@chrl.org.
