Friends of the Library
The Friends of the LaFayette-Walker County Library are concerned citizens who share the belief that strong public libraries are a valuable, intellectual, cultural, educational and recreational resource in the community. Friends are advocates who lobby the community and elected officials about the importance of Libraries. Friends are organizers who enrich and promote their Libraries.
The Friends of the LaFayette-Walker County Library group is a 501(c)3 organization that exists to support programming and operations of the library. The Friends have a commitment to provide both cultural and educational programs for our community. Annual Membership dues and income from various events (such the Annual Open House and Bake/Used book sale) not only help fund programming, but also helps buy books, recorded books, videos, DVDs, equipment and supplies for the Library, not covered in the budget.
